Marauders Return August 12th

MHS Parents and Students,

Welcome to Monache High School to both our new and returning Marauders. We are very excited to see you all very soon. I wanted to get this initial message out to you so that you have some information to start to prepare for your return. The first day of school will be Thursday, August 12th (Fun fact, also my birthday). 1st period will start at 8:10 am. Please have your student come to campus early, preferably 15-30 minutes early so that they can figure out where their classes are, especially 1st period. Also, morning traffic can be heavy the closer you get to 8:00. See bullet points below for helpful information.

* Please read student handbook attached below. This handbook contains information such as the yearly calendar,  contact information for helpful office people such as admin, counselors and secretaries, activities and club information graduation and "a-g" requirements, attendance information, dress code , discipline procedures, etc.
* Please read the dress code in the student handbook. The most frequent dress code violations we typically see are 1) Clothing promoting drugs or drug endorsing companies such as the "Cookies" brand, 2) Wearing of non-Monache hats and 3) short shorts/short tops. Please review the dress code with your child to avoid any violations.
* 2021 - 2022 Bell Schedule. See attached below.
* For class schedules check AERIES on August 11th. Freshman ad Sophomores should get a hard copy if they attend orientation on August 10th. A separate Parent Square message will be sent out next week with the specifics on orientation. On the first day of school should you not have access to your schedule on AERIES we will have people set up by the campus circle to print out your schedule.
* For help with transportation questions please call the transportation department at 559-782-7092
*COVID safety protocols. These will be shared soon by PUSD. Look for a Parent Square message soon.
*Emergency cards will be sent home on the first week of school with your student so that you can update the information we have in AERIES.

I look forward to seeing you all soon. Go Marauders!
